A long-table supper with a Ghent brewer
One long table, five courses and five beers, with the brewer pouring. Thirty places on a Thursday evening at the end of the month.
Once a season we push all the tables together and invite someone we admire to the room. This time it is a brewer from just across the Leie, who will bring five beers and the stories behind them.
Lotte has written a five-course menu around them, from smoked eel with a sharp saison to a rice pudding that meets a dark, spiced quadrupel. Everyone sits together, so come ready to talk to your neighbour.
The best evenings end with strangers sharing the last of the bread.
